Black Boy & The War is a dystopian play that takes place in Harlem in the near future. The set was inspired by stencil street art, specifically the political driven works of Banksy, and applied to moveable walls in the form of a cityscape to set the tone of the play while still giving the audience a reference to the location that the play takes place. The walls would slide onstage and offstage, depending on the scene, to create different shapes that represented different locations.
